Amit Mishra said on YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra’s show,

“Honestly, not everyone does this.” Mishra was asked if the players have the same respect for Sachin Tendulkar or MS Dhoni. “I won’t lie. I respect him a lot as a cricketer, but I don’t share the same relationship with him as I used to. Why does Virat have fewer friends? His and Rohit’s natures are different. Let me tell you the best thing about Rohit. When I met him on the first day and when I meet him today, he is the same. So would you relate more to him or someone who changes according to the situation?

Mishra stressed that Kohli has fewer friends in the Indian team due to the change in his nature. He also said that there is a big difference between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in terms of cricket, while his association with Rohit has been very understanding and cheerful.

He further said, “I have not been a part of the Indian team for many years. Still when I meet Rohit during IPL or any other event, he always jokes with me. I don’t have to think what he will think. We joke with each other. He is at the top, but we still maintain that rapport. He is the captain, has won the World Cup and five IPL titles.”

In his statement, he said that it is true that he has seen Kohli change his positioning and the contact between them has also reduced. Mishra also expressed that almost no conversation has happened between him and Kohli.

Mishra said, “I have seen Virat change a lot. We almost stopped talking. When you get fame and power, they think that people are contacting them with some purpose. I was never one of them. I have known Chiku since he was 14 years old, when he used to eat samosas, when he needed pizza every night. But there is a lot of difference between the Chiku I knew and the captain Virat Kohli. Whenever he meets me, he is very respectful, but obviously now it is not the same.”
