Pakistani fast bowler and cricket expert Shaheen Afridi has recently sparked controversy when he was accused of misbehavior in the media.
The eyes of the whole country are fixed on this matter, which is also posing a big challenge to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Shaheen Afridi, who was recently among the bowlers selected for the T20 World Cup 2024, was accused of ‘inappropriate behavior’ with his team’s head coach Gary Kirsten and other coaching staff during the England tour.

According to media reports, Shaheen took the controversial situation with the coaching staff seriously, of which the team managers were also aware, but they did not support any action.
The PCB has not issued any official statement on the issue, while Shaheen addressed the controversy through a cryptic message on social media. He shared a video of himself demonstrating bowling with the appropriate caption “Rise up”.
Even before this incident, several media reports had raised allegations of inappropriate behavior against Shaheen Afridi. A source said, “Shaheen behaved controversially with coaches and management staff in recent tours, but the team managers did not take any strict action against him.”
Questions are being raised about the lack of discipline in this matter, as it was the main responsibility of the managers to maintain discipline in the team. An investigation is being conducted as to why no action was taken against Shaheen Afridi.
Meanwhile, the PCB has currently informed Abdul Razzaq and Wahab Riaz that their services are no longer required in the national selection committee. Wahab was the selector of the men’s team, but was removed from the post of senior team manager on charges of providing unfair benefits.
