The BCCI has taken a historic decision to release Rs 1 crore as financial assistance to former Indian cricketer Anshuman Gaikwad for his treatment.
Gaikwad is currently undergoing treatment for blood cancer at a medical facility in London.
The apex council of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a statement for this decision, in which they informed that the board has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 1 crore for the treatment of Mr. Anshuman Gaikwad.

This decision has come as a result of emotional appeals from former teammates, such as Kapil Dev and Sandeep Patil.
According to the information about Gaikwad’s condition, his procedural phase of treatment is going on at King’s College Hospital in London. The news about this impending health crisis of the son of former Indian captain D.K. Gaikwad was already dominating the newspapers and the cricket world.
