Taking over the new command in the Indian cricket team, Gautam Gambhir has claimed to give a new direction to the team with his qualifications and experience.
After Gambhir was appointed as the head coach of Team India, he is trying to improve the team through his performance and ethics.
Current international fast bowler Avesh Khan told that the experience of working under Gambhir is a learning opportunity for him.

Avesh, who plays in the IPL with Lucknow Super Giants, said that Gambhir is a person who inspires his players to win and has the mindset to dominate their opponents.
While preparing against Zimbabwe for the T20 International match, Avesh spoke of understanding the importance of his experience in the team led by Gambhir.
He told that Gambhir advises the players to work on time and steadily and motivates them to perform better.
Avesh, through his experiences, told that Gambhir is a sure person who speaks less but believes in his words. His policy is to put the team first and motivate all the players to win.
“In team meetings and one-on-one meetings, he used to speak less but put his point on what needs to be done. He used to assign tasks and roles to the players and he has always been a ‘team coach’, he always wants to win and everyone wants to give their 100 percent,” Avesh said.
“We have played on different wickets here. We played the first two matches on the same deck, there was good bounce in the first match but in the second it became flat. The conditions are good, as it is an open ground so the ball also swings a bit,” he said.
“But since these matches are played during the day, sometimes the wicket gets dry, but as a bowler you should be ready to bowl in every situation,” Avesh said.
He said, “As Virat bhai said, he is a bowler who comes once in a generation, it is true and we all believe so. His bowling style and his mindset are different, but the main thing is his execution, for which we all practice.”
Avesh said, “Whenever I talk to him, he tells me to focus on execution. If you are thinking of throwing a yorker, it should be a yorker; it cannot be a full toss or a half volley, the bouncer should be on the shoulders; a length ball should be (targeted) above the off (stump).”
Avesh has also claimed to show his ability before the upcoming series against Zimbabwe and he told that he is ready for different situations on the field. He said that he will always be ready to bowl for the team and will especially work to establish his bowling.
In this statement, he also said that he wants to share his experiences with experienced players like Virat Kohli and Jaspreet Bumrah and try to adopt their clear mindset.
