Reports related to Gambhir becoming the coach also state that he had also laid down some conditions for his appointment, which have been accepted by the BCCI. He has also been given the right to contribute in the selection of the support staff, so that he can organize the team according to his own.
Under the leadership of Gambhir, Kolkata Knight Riders recently won the IPL 2024 title, which has praised his reputation and coaching ability. He is recognized as a good coach who is known to guide the players with his perseverance, confidence and experience.
Gambhir has also said about this new responsibility in a program, “There is no greater honor than coaching the national team. I will take this responsibility seriously and show the best excellence of each of my players to the team.”
