Hafiz said, “The entire Pakistani team can cover a distance of two kilometers in 10 minutes, while Azam Khan will take 20 minutes to cover this distance. It is sad that Azam Khan is not serious about playing international cricket.”

He said, “Being lean or oversized has never been an issue for me, but you need to work according to the requirements of the game. You need to bring your fitness to a required level. We gave him a fitness plan, but he [Azam] could not improve it. You are in the team because of your talent, but you need to respond in terms of fitness. You are the only player in the team with whom we have compromised in terms of fitness.”

Hafeez says that Azam should focus on his fitness, as he does not seem ready to play an important role in international cricket. This raises questions about the performance of the Pakistani team, especially in the T20 World Cup 2024.

The Pakistani team has faced defeat at the hands of the USA in their first match, raising questions about their qualification. Now their next match is against India, which has made their situation even more difficult. Now Pakistan’s qualification will depend on the performance of the USA and Ireland.
