A new change has come in Indian cricket. Virat Kohli, the team’s brilliant player, who is called the king of cricket 20, is facing a “challenge” this season.
Vikram Rathore, the Indian batting coach, has backed Kohli, saying, “I am not happy. I would be happy if he goes ahead and scores more runs,”
“But yes, it is good when you get a challenge sometimes. You know, players who sometimes do not get a chance to bat too much in India, they are the ones who scored today and our middle order came to play. So, it was good to see.”

Apart from this, he also clarified that due to Kohli’s form, less experienced players are getting a chance in the team to step up and contribute.
Notably, the Indian team has just achieved an excellent victory against Afghanistan, which has increased their entry into the Super 8. In this match, Virat Kohli played a good innings of 24 runs per ball in the powerplay, which was his first double-digit score in the tournament.
In the same match, Rishabh Pant gave an impressive performance and Suryakumar Yadav helped India win by scoring a brilliant half-century. India will now face Bangladesh in the next match, which looks even stronger due to the presence of four spinners in the team.
Rathore said, “I think our team has always had depth. But yes, these conditions are probably more favorable for us because we can afford to play two or three spinners at times. So I believe this can be our best team. This is our strength.
He said, “It seems that … playing a player like Akshar (Patel) at number eight gives you a lot of confidence because he can bat and at the moment he is also bowling very well. So, it gives you a lot of options.”
He adds, “We have already played in the worst conditions in New York. So, whatever happens after that will feel good. So, I hope the wickets will be better.”

India’s next match will be in Antigua, where they will take on Bangladesh. Rathore also opined on the strength of this team, saying, “We will not leave anything to chance.” He also assures that every team has to compete with depth in every match.
