The Indian cricket team on Saturday showed a strong unique performance and defeated South Africa by seven runs to win the World Cup 2024 title. After this victory, in which the team led by Rohit Sharma, he was eagerly waiting to return home.

But the storm in Barbados had to shut down the airport, and this delayed flying to the team. The players were stranded on the same island for three days, while all flights were canceled. The BCCI made all necessary arrangements for the safe return of the players.

Rajiv Shukla, Vice President of BCCI said that Team India is now flying from Barbados to Delhi and hopes they will reach Delhi by tomorrow evening. They were stranded for three days due to the storm Beril, while they had to wait in Barbados.

The Air India Champions 24 World Cup special charter flight is ready to bring back the Indian team and their associate staff, players’ families and some board officials, who were stranded in the island due to storm Beril.

The approximate time of flight from Barbados to Delhi is 4:30 am according to the news, and it will take 16 hours to reach Delhi from Barbados.

Grantley Adams International Airport has resumed its operations on Tuesday, which is likely to fly the team. After reaching Delhi here, the team’s approximate arrival calculated that they will return home by 6 am on Thursday.
