Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday felicitated the T20 World Cup-winning Indian cricket team at a special ceremony in Mumbai and announced a cash reward of Rs 11 crore.

On this occasion, four Mumbai cricketers of the team – captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shivam Dubey – were felicitated at a ceremony held in the central hall of Vidhan Bhavan.

At the ceremony, Mr Shinde expressed happiness over the team’s achievements and said that the Indian team has created history by defeating Pakistan in the World Cup final through its excellent game.

He particularly praised Suryakumar Yadav’s remarkable catch, which helped achieve the crucial winning target for the team in the final match against South Africa.

On this occasion, Shinde also felicitated supporting team members Paras Mhambrey and Arun Kanade and appreciated their contribution.

He also praised the Mumbai Police on the occasion of the team’s victory, who showed their expertise in ensuring the security of the parade and effective crowd management.

Everyone present at the ceremony felt particularly proud and excited about the achievements of the Indian cricket team, which made the country proud in such an important tournament as the World Cup.
